Update from the CA Mortgage Relief Program
Reminder: New Delinquency Date is August 1, 2023
The California Mortgage Relief Program (CMRP) announced earlier this month that it has adjusted its delinquency date requirement for past-due mortgage and property tax payments from March 1, 2023, to August 1, 2023. Homeowners who have missed at least 2 mortgage payments or 1 property tax payment by August 1, 2023, and are currently behind, may qualify for up to $80,000 in financial assistance.
Applicants who were previously declined because they did not meet the former delinquency date requirements may now be eligible for the program with this change.
